Our Programs

Singaling for babies

Congratulations on your new little one!

In our program for babies, designed for ages 0 to 9 months old, you will learn short rhymes, delightful finger plays, gentle lap bounces and soothing lullabies. All of which will help with language and literacy development and bonding between you and your little one.

These 8-week sessions are designed to teach you material that you can share with your little one throughout your days together. Storyteller Vanessa will lead you through material to begin your day, to accompany diaper changes, walks, playtime and, of course, to go to sleep.

Whether your new baby is looking for stimulation, calm, distraction – we have a song to accompany each of your baby’s needs.

And, if you need one more reason, we have the Dock-A-Tot of all lullabies! It has been putting babies to sleep for over 35 years.

Singaling for toddlers

In our toddler class, designed for children 10 to 24 months old, storyteller Vanessa is joined by Mr. Bear, a very special bear. Together they share short rhymes, entertaining finger plays, engaging books and stories, lively lap bounces and soothing lullabies. All of which will help to continue language and literacy development and bonding between you and your little one.

As with many things at this age, toddlers learn best with consistency and repetition. Therefore, each class begins with energizing wake-up songs, followed by material to accompany daily activities, like diaper changes, getting dressed, going for walks and ending with soothing lullabies. This way, both you and your child will know what to expect next.

We use repetition, in a variety of forms, to ensure that you both leave each class singing a song or two (yes, even the busiest toddler). By the end of the 8-week session, you will have a full library of songs and stories at your fingertips to entertain, distract and soothe.

Because this is a class for children and their caregivers your participation plays a key role in your child’s enjoyment and engagement in the material. When you take part and have fun your child will, too.
